Abstract Christian nationalist ideology was among the strongest predictors of Americans voting for Trump in 2016 and remained a strong predictor intent to vote him prior 2020 election. This study uses national data examine whether nationalism could potentially convert previously-unconverted supporting or, conversely, prevent apostatizing from Trump. Among who did not 2016, increased likelihood that they intended 2020, but only those earlier at all or voted third party.
